Göçebe Bağımsız Sanatçı İnisiyatifi ARTBOSPHORUS 2012 - Uluslararası Çağdaş Sanat Fuarı' nda
DÖNÜŞME
Çok kültürlü, çok yönlü, çok katmanlı metropollerin oluşum ve dönüşümündeki en büyük etmeni bu kentlere göçle gelenler oluşturur. Göçenler kentlileşirken, asimile olup kendi değerlerini yitirenler veya çevresiyle uyumsuz özünü koruyanlar ortaya çıkmıştır. Her iki durumda da kaybeden toplum ve özünde insandır. Kentsel dönüşümü buna bir çare olarak sunmak; sorunlara herhangi bir çözüm getirmeyip, aksine baskı altına alıp derinleşmesine sebep olmaktadır. Bu, aynı zamanda, bu bölgelerde yaşayan yoksul halkın oradan bir biçimde ‘kovulması’ da demektir. Göçebe Bağımsız Sanatçı İnisiyatifi olarak bu sorunlarla birlikte; kent ve sosyolojisi hakkında sorgulama yapmak ve belirli noktalara dikkat çekmek için "DÖNÜŞME" diyoruz.

DON' T TRANSFORM
The biggest factor of the formation and transformation of multi-cultured, multi-faced and multi-layered metropolitan cities is formed by those who migrate to them. As the imigrants get urbanized, there are those who emerged getting assimilated and lose their own values and some others preserving their essence incompatible with their surroundings. In both cases, it is the society and the human itself that loses. Providing Urban Transmutatıon as a remedy to this is not bringing solution to the problems but instead only supresses and provokes it to deepen. This, meanwhile, means for the native poor people to be deported in a way. As Independent Immigrants Artists Initiative, combined with these problems we call it "DON' T TRANSFORM” to question about the city and its sociology and point attraction to particular issues.
